The absence of dead times and optimal positioning are the outstanding features of the ROTOSTRAPP transplanter, a modular machine available in two versions, pulled and self-propelled. The machine transplants exclusively cube - shaped compressed sods with a lateral width from 3 up to 5 cm and the distance between the 2 rows can be varied starting from a minimum of 28 cm. It is able to operate in straight line and in “diamond” fashion. The distance on the same row is set by digital control, ranging between 10 and 100 cm; the working capacity per hour and element can go up to a maximum of 8,000 plants and to a top speed of 2.5 km/hour. The elements of which the machine is composed are independent from each other and their autonomy allows them to follow perfectly every kind of soil. The planting out, realized through a rotating system of separation and direct placing, is followed by an appropriate covering with earth, obtained with a mixed system of wheels and earthing up devices. This machine has proved particularly suitable for the transplant of salad and other vegetables. IMPORTANT: The machine is suitable for the use of plants with various heights up to a maximum of 8 - 10 cm. In the near future the machine will be equipped with a "full plant" device and at request, with an automatic modular distributor.
